How do you define a healthy relationship?

1999 The Power of Thought Love begins with our thoughts. We become what we think about. Loving thoughts create loving experiences and loving relationships. Affirmations can change our beliefs and thoughts about ourselves and others. If we want to love someone, we need to consider their needs and desires. Thinking about your ideal partner will help you recognize him or her when you meet him or her. The Power of Respect You cannot love anyone or anything unless you first respect them. The first person you need to respect is yourself. To begin to gain self-respect ask yourself: “What do I respect about myself?” To gain respect for others, even those you may dislike, ask yourself: “What do I respect about them?” The Power of Giving If you want to receive love, all you have to do is give it! The more love you give, the more you will receive. To love is to give of yourself, freely and unconditionally. Practice random acts of kindness. Before committing to a relationship ask not what the...

No Fairytale

1999 I am in love with the same sex I'm a girl she's a girl why is that such a problem? Some say its just lust, but I swear its not marriage is just for heterosexual couples is all I hear I thought it was for people who are in love but society still labels me as a freak for being me I'm dreaming of a world full of diversity being gay, bisexual, lesbian, or straight is your choice why is that a prince has to save her? how come a princess can't look out for another? the way I love is like musicians love their music inside me is nothing nobody knows but her on the outside I ware rainbows and care Bears but it still doesn't justify my individuality I wake up in the mornings to a vision of her in my mind are females, is that wrong? I love her with all my heart, understand now, if not too bad, coz being me is all I know. Can you honestly tell me that's not love? then what do u call it? A game? you say what you want and I'll tell u the same being gay is not a...

What True Love Means

There is dignity in not giving up on someone you truly love. But there is more dignity in letting them go so they can experience better love. That shows your true love because you then become unselfish and through putting others first, unconditional love grows. There is respect in fighting gallantly to win someone’s heart another time. But an even greater respect comes from fighting hard and knowing when to stop. Even though you would give anything to have that past back, that person has touched your life in a way that will make your future so much brighter. Accept that, and hold your head high, knowing you have captured their heart as well. There is courage in allowing your heart to hurt and grieve, but there is a greater courage in knowing it will be scarred. But stronger as time goes on. For whoever caused those scars has made your life better in some way and will make you better person when you marry because of what the scars taught you. Remember how many peo...

Lately, I’ve not been myself… While most people I know are having drama with their partner and friends, I’m having an internal drama on my own… And I guess I should now just let it out… To be honest, I’ve been questioning myself a lot lately… It’s like I’m going on a journey of self-discovery all over again… I do hope its not too late for it though. Frankly, deep within I still hold true to the love of God and my religion… However I’ve been so throne up inside questioning myself about being GAY and being a Muslim… I was never a religious person, growing up I spend my days hang out with the guys.. instate of riding my way to the ustazah's house, I spend the hours in the monsoon drain looking for “ikan longkang” and tadpoles, off road bike rides, fishing, late night camping by the lake on weekends, playing hokey and footballs with the boys from my neighborhood..   I’ve been thinking.. Can one still be a good Muslim while accepting the fact that she’s gay? Can Hara...
