In Love ? Possessive Or Afraid?
Being possessive is thought by many to be love, and in some few cases, where the other has lost their self esteem, it appears to be for them too. You can lose your loved one very quickly by being possessive because you choke them to death. Have you ever been somewhere that is so hot that you want to rip your clothes off? You can’t wait to get cool. It is stifling. The sweat is trickling down your body. You are burning from inside. You want to scream. And then, the cold shower feels blissful. Well that’s exactly how the one you possess feels. You are stifling your partner and they cannot wait to fling you away. People who possess, don’t love. They just want to own. Like some antique art - something to admire. Something only they have, and no one else shall have it. The possessive person has an illness too. It is the lack of their own beauty - their own perfection, thus they must own someone else. They must own someone else so they can reflect their own emptiness in them. Possessiveness is emptiness. You must face up to these qualities in yourself so that you do not drive the person you love away. Of course there are many other reasons, such as boredom, unshared interests, and going in different directions, but these are all minor compared to the gross illness that one thinks is love.
No, possessiveness is NOT love.
Are YOU possessive?
I am sometimes.
It’s interesting how something so beautiful can be scary. People who live in fear are predictable because they always do what they shouldn’t. They make the same mistakes and use the same rationalizations over and over again. People living in love are completely unpredictable because they are free! They are free to be themselves and to do what they want just because they want to. The silly thing is that people are afraid of love simply because once you embrace love wholeheartedly, then you are free. Why is being free scary? The reason why it is scary is because when you are free, you break the chains of misery, sadness, depression and more. Things such as depression and sadness bring you sympathy, which is a false source of love. Sympathy isn’t love. Sympathy means that you are too scared to love yourself. If you love yourself, then why would you need sympathy? Many people are so used to living in fear that they can’t let go of their attachment to the fear. These people are scared of being happy because they have become dependent on sympathy, depression, sadness and more for their existence. Similar to a drug user who is dependent on drugs to “escape” this world, people living in fear need fear to escape what they know is true… and the truth is, you should be eternally happy and full of love. Fear makes us to do silly things. All too often people will date another person they know isn’t good. They date the person who isn’t good for them because they know the relationship will fail. When the relationship fails, it gives the person an excuse to be sad again. It gives the person a reason to complain about love. Love isn’t an excuse to fail, it’s a reason to succeed. If you can’t be happy alone, then you will never be happy when with someone.
If you are loving and living in fear, then you aren’t experiencing love. If you are afraid of love then it’s time to stop living in fear.
Help yourself! Live in love.
Are YOU afraid of Love?
I am NOT.
